DIRECTOR’s NOTE | She was weeping like a baby when the steward asked her to put down the cellphone! The plane was about to leave and I followed her lines… Baby, promise me, you won’t go outside running on the street, you will always follow the elders and eat properly… Her words taunted me more when she was talking to her man… Promise me, you will never be rude to my baby, promise me to be sober and look for something decent! It’s only a year and I will be back with money for you to start afresh! Promise me, darling, promise me… for the rest of the long flight, fragmented words took form, and I started writing this script!
